John 12Either that, or you don't recognize it as such.
Nice.
Would you know it if I was on topic?

Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts,
Lest they should see with their eyes,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.”

"You're welcome to start your own thread on that. This one is about science in particular; and evolution specifically."
Note: While the following verses are not actually discussing evolution, being as the theory obviously did not exist back then, nevertheless, they could very easily be used to describe the belief in evolution today, being as the mentality is basically the same.
That it's a form of idolatry. And what does that passage tell us about evolution then?
Only from a certain point of view. Not even all Christians hold that point of view. And it certainly says nothing about the validity of evolution as an explanation for the variety of life we see in the world. That it's a form of idolatry.
It doesn't teach us how to spell evolution either. So what? And it certainly says nothing about the validity of evolution as an explanation for the variety of life we see in the world.
Tell me, AV, what is the topic of the thread? Is it about whether evolution is a valid theory? Or is it about how to spell evolution? Let me know.It doesn't teach us how to spell evolution either. So what?
You should realize that evolution, per se, is a very tricky term, since it has so many aspects.Tell me, AV, what is the topic of the thread? Is it about whether evolution is a valid theory? Or is it about how to spell evolution? Let me know.
I was not asking your opinion on whether you think evolution is a valid theory. You have, after all, been abundantly clear, as you are again here. You should realize that evolution, per se, is a very tricky term, since it has so many aspects.
If I say NO, evolution is not a valid theory, then you could come back and ask about adaptation or microevolution.
If I say YES, evolution is a valid theory, then it gives the wrong impression that I'm a supporter of molecules-to-man macroevolution.
Suffice it to say that I believe the Bible is against evolution as a whole, and let it go at that.
But if I had to answer your question, I'm going to say NO, evolution is definitely not a valid theory.
She'll be asking you to renounce your faith next lolI was not asking your opinion on whether you think evolution is a valid theory. You have, after all, been abundantly clear, as you are again here.
I was asking you what the topic of this thread was.
Is this a thread discussing whether evolution is a valid theory, yes or no?
Please note: Saying "Yes" will only be counted as you saying the thread was started to discuss that topic, and will not in any way be taken as a reflection on your views of that topic.
