Because I think I may be. I just feel no sexual attraction to any other person, and it's always been this way. The only thing I need out of a relationship is companionship.

So is this in some way a sin? People tell me it isn't natural, but does God approve? I consider myself a Christian, but nobody knows about this, and I'm afraid if I come out it may not be accepted by my family and friends.

I don't think so. Consider it a privilege. You needn't compete, in all the silly, expensive ways that humans do compete, for a partner. Your time is your own. Make the most of it.

Best wishes, 2ndRateMind.

Paul, and Jesus did say that if anyone is capable of not marrying then they shouldn't because it gives them better abilities to serve God. Jesus also mentions those who are born eunuchs. Eunuchs were used as bodyguards in womens chambers because they didn't have a sex drive. Those who are born eunuchs could just be born without a sex drive. I don't think it's sinful or wrong.

No, it's not a sin at all. It might not be the norm, obviously, but it would be wrong to say it's not natural, and anyone who tells you it is should hush up. The bible tells us that singleness is a gift that not many people have. If you really have it, make the most of it.

I agree here and can relate on some level with the OP in this. my sex drive has diminished greatly over the years and I am only 34 (as can be seen in my profile). I still feel an attraction to women, but only in the way of companionship, not really out of sexual desire. at first I thought something must be wrong with me or my meds are causing some side effect, cause I wasnt this way 12 years ago. but I have come to accept it.

I am single now and the only problem I have with it is the lonely nights when there is no one to talk to. I sit and watch TV or play video games on my computer all night :). other then that, I enjoy being single. its a freedom that cant be duplicated by anything else. but I sure wish I could meet the right woman ;) hehe

No, I do believe, as someone mentioned, it's a gift. And it's most likely a gift because you have less burden upon yourself and material needs to think of and can therefore go seek more spiritualism. Some children may be made asexual in order to take care of their elders and such. You may find many fulfilling things God will ask you to do.

It is not sin at all I would consider it a blessing.

I think it's fine... I believe man and woman were created for each other, but there are also people just not "called" to be married. No big deal. It's not about what we do in the long run but who we serve and what we do with the time we are here in relation to God.

As many have said, it is not a sin. Pursue Christ, and let Him be your all in all. If and when it is His timing, He will give you the attraction for your future wife. If He never does, then it is likely He has called you to something pretty special. Embrace it.

His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” But He said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

I wouldn't worry about it. If you never want to get married and have a family, you can always devote your life to ministry, or your friends, or the family you already have. You're not having unnatural feelings, you're just not having feelings that most people have naturally. But there's nothing wrong with that.

Natural is the same as sin.

Unnatural is following the words. (i.e. Marriage is not natural. Stealing is natural.)

That's not to go so far as to say that inclinations of our sinful nature are wrong. i.e. it is not wrong to want to steal or want to have sex.
