I cant wait to fix my computer to get Medival Total War 2. Rome Total War was absolutely amazing, definately a ground-breaking game in terms of RTS.

Total War games have a history of being great leaps foreward in the genre.

I wonder what they'll come up with next after Medieval 2? Maybe have Shogun 2.

medieval 2 tw looks mean I installed it the other day i was mean excited then i ran it and it said error you graphics card isint good enougph it need .... something along the line of that

i need a new comp I recently got the eras pack thats pretty good

I've wasted most of my holiday break playing medieval 2 .

It is not as good as the first Medieval game, but the graphics are stupendously nice.

Unfortunately, MTW1 had a bug that, despite your best efforts, caused your provinces to eventually revolt.

yeh the graphics are great but say in a rebel army the commanding unit was a pesent unit the leader would be in shineing armour i find tha funny lol

thing i spelt shineing wrong ? lol

Sequels aren't always better. Halo and NWN imho were better then their sequels. The originals break fresh ground but 2 is the magic sequel number: Diablo 2, Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, Homeworld 2, Counterstrike: Source (a sequel), and Dungeon Keeper 2.

I love the graphic's upgrades within the new mtw. The game is beautiful. I wish the AI was better though. I think the AI in the first MTW put up a much better fight that the new one. The new AI is not any better than Rome Total war's AI (meaning it is almost impossible to loose a town to it).

But I guess the game is still new. The "day 0" patch helped fix some of the bugs in m2tw, but the AI is still a chump on the tactical battle map. I find the pasive ai bug especialy disapointing (the computer will often line its troops up, then sit there and let you suround it with calvery, and march missle troop up to point blank range and empty quivers into it without reacting).

Still I will say that Shogun TW is one of my favorite games of all time, and the only thing that keeps MTW from bing my favorite is the lack of strategic multy play.

Strategic map multiplay IS pretty cool but to finish one game would take at least as long as a trip to the DMV.

yeh the AI wasint that good because cometimes you would shoot at them and they would stand there the whole battle just been shot and i would do a charge at loose formation the form up into rank b 4 i hit

they have a new patch that gets rid of this
