I started acupuncture sessions recently. Some christians disagree with this method of healing saying it opens the door to the devil, if so, how? Anyway I was actually referred to it by a Christian. I would like people's opinion on this or personal experiences. Why is it considered demonic by some?

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. the theory behind acupunctre is based upon easten religious beliefs. It speaks of balancing an energy in the body. It has no real benifit, as it is not based upon reality. If healings do occur I would say it was a demonic healing. As the devil likes to promote religions other than Christianity.
It won't hurt you, but it won't help you either. Seeing it is based upon energy theory I would avoid it.

Yeah its a spiritual thing. However there are those who do it without the spiritual stuff because it sort of fall in the realm of things like pressure points on your body. I don't know if it works or not because I won't try it.

If by demonic you mean "not based in reality", then yes. And I agree, that is very demonic.
