I normally dont bother with the news. However, today I was scouring mainstream media headlines for an internationally relevant event when, not to my surprise, I came across the Ha! Ha! Look at the stupid Christians article that is a staple to this eras mainstream media. In this particular case, the headline precisely accused a woman of killing a dog for chewing up a Bible. No, I didnt bother reading the story, because I have little confidence in a lazy media whose number one, and only, mission is to disgrace Christianity, and because, frankly, life is only so long.
Were all capable of having a strong emotional attachment to any book. I regretfully physically punished a former pet dog for ripping apart a book that I became enamoured with, containing an amoral and immoral fiction. The book became an important sentimental possession of mine, and I had a snap hostile reaction to its destruction. I now see its destruction as a divinely inspired act of the Lord, and I in no way miss the evil book. Unfortunately, my actions may have been a primary factor in the deterioration of the dogs behaviour, ultimately leading to the dog being put down for attacking someone.
The headline compels us to raise some important questions:
To me, the destruction of a Bible is automatically an evil act. This is a broken world in which such things will happen; daemon possession need not be implicated; plus, no one can reliably determine it. Jesus tells us everything we need to know about daemons. They are evil beings existing in another realm, but they can cross into our realm to live inside people or animals. Daemons are not destructible, and it makes no sense to destroy the patient in order to treat the sickness; Jesus neither demonstrates that treatment, nor proposes it.

- Is a dog that chews up a Bible daemon possessed?
- And if it is, should the dog be destroyed?
