Was Iron Man 2 as bad as some people made it out to be? Personally, I enjoyed it, but the editing needed some work.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I enjoyed it, just not as much as the first. It fixed some problems from the first, but created a few. Much preferred the villain in the second film.

With remakes from old Marvel Comics, people fail to realize
different versions of comic books have different writers
so, in my opinion if fans grew up on the original iron man vs
the people, kids, and fans that know of iron man from cartoons & video games not comics plus hollywood writers changing the script up
to make it more action packed makes a difference.

I liked it for what it was. I appreciated that they didn't try to go with the "bigger and louder" syndrome that many sequels fall into.

Eh, it was okay. It's mostly the comparison to the original that makes it bad. The actual movie was decent, but the first was significantly better.

Do you mean Iron Man 3 since it's the most recent? I didn't care for the third one, the first and second were MUCH better.

Iron Man 2 had the main villian of Whiplash. He was portrayed much differently on film than in the comics. The end battle seemed to be resolve itself much too quickly than it should have. I thought the movie had good merits but was not as good as the first. Iron Man 3 centered around the Mandarin but failed in some aspects. They worked in a lot of different armors, but the ending again left you wanting something different. I enjoyed it but still think the first movie is way above either 2 or 3.
