Hello,
The short version.
This is an invitation to tkster for a debate. If he refuses or doesn't reply this is also open to any other creationist that would like to debate. This is partly directed towards tkster because he seems to like challenging people to debate with Hovind, and has made quite a few claims on the forums so I thought I would invite him to a debate first.
The terms are pretty fluid, the topic can be pretty much anything related to the overall debate, such as the age of the earth, the validity of theory of evolution, the validity of creationism, etc. To of course be decided upon before the debate. Possibly with a short format such as opening statements, two rebuttals, and closing statements. To take place in the GA debate forum. Again all of this is fluid and I'm open to change.
Reply to this or PM me to accept and work out the details or to decline the invitation.
The longer version (also known as the addition to the short version).
I'm slowly growing tired going around in circles refuting the same things that were refuted only a couple posts ago, only to have them ignored, and listening to the same empty claims over and over again without any support. I've been considering putting the Creation vs Evolution debate on the back burner for awhile, and thought that a debate might be fun before I do (although I don't promise that I'm any good
). A debate supports the ideas of backing up statements, and not running away from the discussion.
Can someone post this or a link to this in the Christians only section, since that appears to be where many of the creationists (including tkster) are staying, and I can't post there myself.
-Ari
