  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Invisible World

An amazing half of a verse: and without faith it is impossible to please Him . . ." (Hebrews 11:6). Why? It is not that the Father is making it hard on us. Rather, His way is to do things by faith. He is simply the way He is. The reason that it is faith only that pleases God is that, for us, the Kingdom is an invisible one. We can contact it only by faith. It is the realm of the Spirit where God and His Kingdom dwell.

So interaction with God only happens when we have faith in God who lives in that realm. "God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). The only true worship we can do has to touch the realm of God in the Holy Spirit (a spirit realm thing, of course). And this is done by faith. The truth the Word speaks of here (John 4:24) is truth that comes from the Kingdom of God, located in the spirit realm. So the Christian life is one lived totally by faith in God who is invisible to us now, that is with our physical senses.

The things we do in this physical world are things that we should allow to be empowered by the invisible one. We allow/activate this by believing in Jesus and the words God gave us (in the Bible or directly to our hearts in line with the Word). The worship we offer God and all the communication we have with Him can only be true if it is done through faith in Jesus who is God the Son, who linked our hearts to the spiritual realm of God, where Ephesians 2:4-6 says we now actually live. He has raised us up and seated us with Christ in the heavenly places. Really. Now. We are there. Jesus is the bridge between this world and the invisible world. He is the bridge, that is, for anyone who believes. So we are there with Him at this moment. Yes, people cannot really contact God without faith, but they can live with Him have an amazing life with it. We simply need to get to know Him better and better by speaking with Him, by worshipping Him, and by taking in His Word and thus thinking like He thinks. Those who do things will be a great blessing to the world. God in the invisible world blessing this world through us.
