Lots of the reasons I hear from Christians who support the invasion of Iraq could equally be used to justify bombing abortion clinics...

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Interesting idea. I was rather neutral to the invasion of Iraq, while I saw reasons it should be done, I also saw reasons that it shouldn't have been done - at least at that point in time. As far as bombing abortion clinics...it's great to be adamant about your prolife stance, but to go as far as to murder others [to basically prevent another 'murder'] to accomplish it, well it seems quite moot at that point. You know?

Invading Iraq - No mater what the liberals will say, or what lies the media will put forward, it was a very good thing. I know many people that have served over there 9My older brother just got back) and they say great good has been done. But the media is trying it's hardest to defame Bush for this move... I support the war though, and if claled, I will take up arms and go over there as well...
Though I do think things should be wrapped up here as soon as possibel; not merely with a withdrawl.. but establishing an intellegent government (If this is even possible)... It goes more with what the Kurds told my brother, we should have bombed the whole region off the map....
Aborition - I couldn't disagree more with this practice... but to add a bit of what I said before, nothing changes after a coup or war..true change begins in the heart. People have been banging their heads for Theonomy in the past only to find it fail.. Sin brings sin.. Though I hate it, bombing would be just as unlawful....

Abortion and Iraq, 2 words I nver thought I'ld see in the same sentance. Personally, I would love to see the day when Iraq legalizes abortion. But I think they still got a ways to go before that happens. Hell, Iraq doesn't even have feminists yet.
