  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just a note to introduce myself. I'm new to the whole internet "forum-world," so be easy on me. As computer-literate as I consider myself to be, I'm certainly insecure about how to maneuver around in here. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

I am very firm in my faith in Jesus Christ and I have a strong testimony of His atonement. I consider myself peaceful, kind, and worthy of being called a child of God. I am not contentious and I do not have to know it "all" to be who I am and stand up for truth. I try hard to let the Spirit guide and teach me as I go. I hope to spread goodness, peace and promote understanding...those glorious fruits of the spirit that we all crave in this lonely world.

I am married with two children. This family is my greatest gift and my greatest responsibility. I hope to be able to stand before the Savior one day and present to Him my family as my gift to him for giving me my life.
