  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nope, and while I won't tell you about the celebs I've seen, talked with, et cetera--starting when I was in my 20s, I will tell you that my husband served Vincent Price in La Jolla, CA--a white jacket restaurant, in the mid-80s, and my husband said, 'Vincent Price was a genuinely nice man'.

Also, my husband was behind the lead actress from the film, A Beautiful Mind, in Whole Foods here in the Hillcrest Area of San Diego; he was not favorably impressed, I'll just leave it at that.

So, anyone meet someone NOT famous who impressed them favorably, and if so, how?

a spot near the Pacific Ocean, on the rocks, not 'play beach' but beachy beach with surf rolling in hard and seagulls flying overhead and fish flipping up out of the water, and sun going down, kelp in the breeze...

Did you ever 'major' in some area only to switch to something else that turned out to be a satisfying move?

I can't name just one, but a big one? Not forgiving a cousin who was like a brother to me--for ripping me off and abandoning me when I was 16... Turned out he had a serious drug problem, and well, a lot of other problems, and if I could have been in my heart, forgiving, wow, the guilt I had, tore me up!
