I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but it is inspirational to me, so, here it is. I think about the sacrifices that people like my son, and my daughter make, so that we can live in a free country. I hope you like it.

I sit with mixed tears....tears of pride...for your children..and my daughter..and so many others...and tears of sadness that it has to happen at all...and tears of grief for all the loss, and tears of joy for all thats gained.

I loved the video...it was well worth the time it took my dial up to d/l it..I have passed it on cause it is so needed to be seen...for all the positive pictures in it as well!

Someone Else

We are all saddened to learn this week of the death of one of our church's most valuable members, Someone Else.

Someone's passing created a vacancy that will be difficult to be.

Else has been with us for many years, and for every one of those years, Someone did far more than a normal person's share of the work.

Whenever leadership was mentioned, this wonderful person was looked to for inspiration as well as results: Someone Else can work with that group."

Whenever there was a job to do, a class to teach, or a meeting to attend, one name was on everyone's list- Someone Else.

"Let Someone Else do it" was a common refrain heard throughout the church.

It was common knowledge that Someone Else was among the largest givers in the church. Whenever there was a financial need, everyone just assumed Someone Else would make up the difference.

Someone Else was a wonderful person, sometimes appearing superhuman; but a person can only do so much.

Were the truth known, everybody expected too much of Someone Else.

Now Someone Else is gone! We wonder what we are going to do.

Someone Else left a wonderful example to follow, but who is going to follow it?

Who is going to do the things Someone Else did?

Remember-we can't depend on Someone Else anymore!

A Prayer of Healing through Worship

Heavenly Father,
We come into Your presence to love and adore You.
Thank You for Your love and Your desire for union with us.
We welcome all that You wish to do through
This healing prayer. We open ourselves to communication
With You and Jesus through the ministry of the Holy
Spirit. Come Holy Spirit, anoint us with healing so
Deep it reaches back into our blood line; with
Healing so wide it impacts our friends and relatives;

Father God,

- - - I walk through life so burdensome,
      With so many earthly cares.
      Burdens, which seem so troublesome,
      With heaviness and despair.
      
      These burdens which I carry,
      Are meant to be laid down,
      Yet I often keep them around my neck
      To prove that I am stout.
      
      Its when my strength can no longer endure
      The stress of this burdensome strain.
      When I seek my Lord, who comforts me,
      From this self-inflicted pain.
      
      Its in this time of faithfulness,
      When my Lord reveals to me,
      A different type of burden,
      One meant to set you free.
      
      This burden is one of Gods design,
      Which He has lain upon my heart.
      A burden, which is for someone else,
      Who plays a much greater part.
      
      This burden is easier to carry,
      And portrayed at just the right time.
      This burden is displaying Gods Will,
      Instead of revealing mine.
      
      The heavy burdens are necessary
      To bring us to the cross.
      For it is there where Christ suffered,
      And God experienced His greatest loss.
      
      The lighter burden is of Angels wings,

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit
was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
and died.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.
This story teaches two lessons:
1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.
2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
to kill them.
Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
to encourage another

Each of us in this life wants more than anything to be loved. We work for love. We strive for love. We make fools out of ourselves for love. We long to feel that love warming our hearts and souls. We strain our ears each day for just a whisper of those three glorious words: "I love you."

What most of us dont realize, however, is just how much God loves us. God is showing us and telling us how much He loves us everyday. When you see the sun rising over the mountains, feel the cool breeze kissing your face, and hear the sweet songs of birds blessing your ears that is God saying, "I love you." When you see the adoring eyes of your dog looking up at you and feel the gentle brush of your cat against your hand that is God saying, "I love you." When you hear music that uplifts your soul with joy and read words that make your heart and mind soar into the heavens that is God saying, "I love you." When you hear the laughter of children playing and feel the warm hug of your own child against you that is God saying, "I love you." When you have the loving support of your family and the wonderful kindness of your friends no matter what you are going through that is God saying, "I love you." When you find your thoughts and feelings always leading you towards growth, learning, love, and joy that is God saying, "I love you." When your lifes circumstances both good and bad help you to keep growing stronger, better, happier, and more loving each day that is God saying, "I love you."

God is always telling you and showing you just how much He loves you. Dont be afraid then to say, "I love you too God." Dont be afraid to live that love in your life either. Love God with everything you have and with everything you are. Love yourself, love your neighbor, and make this whole world your neighborhood. Always remember that God is love, that life is joy, and that we are one. And always listen for the million ways that God says, "I love you."

HIS LOVE

For years I walked alone,
Not knowing where I was bound
I wanted a friend to talk to,
One that would stay around

I met many along the way,
But they had plans of their own
Everyone it seemed had someone,
But I was always alone

Then I heard a soft voice saying,

There beside me stood a stranger,
That I felt somehow I knew

We walked in a beautiful garden,
Where we knelt and prayed
As I walked with him I felt the love,
That he so freely gave

He told of a place called heaven,
A city of purest gold
His stories are all recorded,
theyÃ¢re the greatest ever told

He said he had to leave me,
But only for a little while
For the sins of all men,
My friend was cruelly, put on trial

On the cross that innocent man died,
For sins he never committed
He paid the price he gave his life,
For mankind to be acquitted

From that cross came the greatest gift,

We are never too old to learn. I am still learning to lean on the everlasting arms of Jesus when life throws a curve ball as I walk along lifes highway on my journey as a Christian.
I am still learning to love those that are unlovely along the way. I think God isnt finished with them or me either for that matter, so I need to accept everyone for who they are and for what they will become in Gods timing. My job is to pray for them on the way to their transformation.

I am still learning to laugh, not at others but at myself and sometimes with others. We are all still robed in these earthly bodies, yet we are trying to let heaven fill our souls each day. It can get comical in some of those moments.

I am still learning to be led by the Spirit. As Gods Word tells me, if I do so I wont fulfill the lusts of the flesh. I want to live my life by walking daily in the Spirit, recognizing that my life is hidden "in Christ and the life I now live I live by faith in the Son of God.

I am still learning to live one day at a time, which is so much easier than worrying or fretting about tomorrow, which we are not promised. The Lord says: His grace is sufficient for today!

The list is endless of what I am learning as I grow older both naturally and spiritually. I find that learning can be fun, especially when I put myself in a position to be teachable. Thats when I am reachable for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me in every step I take.

I pray I will learn something new at all times. Then, I will know that I am growing In Christ as I live my life out here on earth. Most of all, I pray that I will learn to tell others how good God is and how much He loves them, so that in turn we will all learn about what life is really about!

Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance. (Proverbs 1:5 NIV)

Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning. (Proverbs 9:9 NIV)

When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.

The movement doesn't flow with the music,

and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,

both bodies begin to flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back

It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.

The dance takes surrender, willingness,

and attentiveness from one person

and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.

When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".

"God, "u" and "i" dance."

God, you, and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust

that I would get

guidance about my life.

Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings

and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday.

May you abide in God as God

abides in you.

Dance together with God, trusting God to lead

and to guide you through each season of your life.

This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.
