Finally, they asked if they wanted to try artificial insemination. They decided to leave it up to the mercy of God. "Lord, if it is your will that we remain childless, so be it."
That year, the husband had a dream, wherein the Blessed Virgin (the family is catholic) told him that he would have a child by the end of the year. This was 1975.
His wife would say that it was late 1975 and still no pregnancy, but the husband said, let's leave it to God.
