What gives you inspiration to write?

I get inspiration from about anything. From landscape to art. The best stuff I write, however, comes when I just get a notion to write, I attribute it to God. He gives me words and I just write 'em as they come. Which leads to an interesting point... If God gives you inspiration for some piece that you write, would you include Him as co-author, author, or what?

Inspiration comes from the people that I see everyday. All of the faces, familiar or not, have a story to tell. I like to listen to people talk about their life, and I get a better grasp of human emotion that is really handy in my stories. Sometimesinspiration comes at the oddest moments...like a couple of days ago when I was jogging. I kept my eyex on the person in front of my, watching how he moved with such grace-like a cat. I went home and wrote a poem about running like a cheetah. Sometimes inspiration comes from a color, or a sound. I wrote a poem about silver moonlight, and even one about the color blue.

Often times I get inspiration from things I learn in science class or some new scientific discovery I might read about! Once I hear about the general concept, my mind instantly tries to think of ways that that piece of information could be used for practical purposes. Once that is done, I have a really cool machine or concept or whatever I have. Then you have to think of how people would react to this new thing or how it might affect everyday life. Eventually running along these lines, I end up with a plot! (That's just one way I come up with stories though. I'm sure there are others.)

Well I usually just get a story happening in my head and feel like I have to get it out by writing it down kind of like when you get a song stuck in your head

My best stories come out when I feel strongly about something and change it around just enough so you can't quite tell that it's about my life, then write about it. Enough that you can tell it's the way I feel, but unless you know me very well you don't know that the story is actually about me.

My inspiration comes from a variety of sources. People I see at school, things in the news, poems, anything. It really depends on what I see, and what I'm writing at the time.

All of the above!! Mostly, a character who wants to get on with his or her story.

Sometimes, a verse from the Bible.

Sometimes, seeing the success of a friend or other writer.

My inspiration comes from a lot of stuff but I really get revved to write after listening to dramatic music lol.
