The overall picture ... that even viewed from 'inside' this 'dream' , one comes from the 'oneness' of spirit , and returns eventually to the oneness, rather akin to going to sleep and dreaming, and then waking up ... 'one' may have up to three dreams before finally awaking ...
Why up to three? Simply that three is sufficient to resolve all matters in all people .... the first dream is simply the result of the spirit projecting the knowledge of what is imperfect .... the second dream is the projection of what is perfect ... the third dream is only for those who cannot accept the truth given in the second dream, but cling to what seemed to work for them in the first dream.... however it only did seem to work in the first dream because they 'exploited' others there , thus t show that is the case, those others are removed in the third dream, the others have fewer dreams ...
A very few have but one dream , experience being perfect within one dream ...
Thus there are people assigned different roles in the dreams , a few whom experience the trials of being saints, a few who experience the trials of benig most evil, and loads who are neither ... and the resolution of them all takes at most three dreams simply because when the most evil are left with only each other to preyupon in the last dream, they quickly see that it ain't gonna work out for them as it seemed to do in the first dream ...
Thus the dreams are not for the purpose of knowing by the spirit, they ARE the knowing by the spirit ... but projected into a 'time sequence' by what we see as our conciosnesses
Thus the 'individual' is maintained between the dreams ,but eventually turns out to be illusion , there is no 'I' , no self ...only the knowing of the imperfection of self or the best perfection of self or something in between the two extremes ... but even the perfection of self does not match the spirit , they are different in 'essence' , different things altogether , as different as in my analogy our dreams are from being awake ...
So what drives the dreams ? It is the spirit [hence I like this name] ,we 'sense' it because it 'motivates us' , 'moves us' ... significantly it gives us insights, inspirations, revelations, visions, dreams ... thus when we get stumped following our computations of brain on what insights we were given so far in the dream, another insight leads us off somewhere else ... this then why we do not meditate whilst we have thought , only when we are stumped , only when the self is defeated and we yield to pleading to know ...
