CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is a Christian set of forums. One must accept the Nicene Creed to post in most parts of the Forums although there are other parts that anyone can post in. The JW and LDS are not Christian by that standard as they do not accept the Nicene Creed. Catholics and the Orthodox do.

No Mormon or JW forums here. You can still participate. Just avoid the Catholic Forum. Most specialized forums, Baptist, Catholic, etc. are safe havens and all visitors must be respectful of the host forum’s beliefs. No debating, or downgrading the faith they follow. Fellowship is always allowed.

Welcome! If you accept the Nicene and Apostles Creed, you are considered a Christian per the rules. JWs, Mormons, Christian Science, Oneness Pentecostals, Unitarian Universalists et al are not considered Christian because they do not accept Nicene Creed or the Holy Trinity.
