We had a speaker come talk to our class today about Christianity in India. He told us things I never knew. Like how the Hindus will accept Jesus, but include him along with all their others gods. His advice was not to say you were a Christian because all they think is it is a white man's religion. He said it was very important to explain to them that we have one and only one savior Jesus. It was very interesting and he has a very hopeful outlook on how the movement is going in India.

It also may be good to explain that we had Jupiter and Zues. However our God appeared in the Levantine regions, rather far away from the Europeans.

Gandhi was a great admirer of Christ, and the "Sermon of the Mount" was the primary bases for his non-violent resistance movement. But he despised Christians because they did not resemble their savior.
Colonization by the British did a lot of damage to the spread of Christianity in that region, where the "white men" held a knife and a bible, at the throats of the indian. We have a long way to go, before we remove the knife from their minds.

What he's trying to say is that Jesus came from far away from Europe so therefore Christianity cannot be a white man's religion.
I must admit I also thought he was equating the gods with Christ until I read it again and figured it out.
