In the darkness of the night, when all our hope was at a loss.
oh, the Saviour came in spite of the horrors of the cross.
And he died upon that tree, every sin on him was laid,
so that we could all go free, now the price of hell is paid.

To the grave he went for us but in that death, he did not stay,
For he rose victorious on that resurrection day.
And he preached a word of love, from his father up on high,
Then he went back home, above. He ascended through the sky

Jesus, Lord, our Saviour King.
Let us now for ever sing.
You paid it all, yes everything.
Jesus Christ, we will worship you.

He was born a humble child, in a stable long ago.
A baby meek and mild, brought a message all to show.
This blameless son of Mary, came with healing in his breath,
And soon with love and care he’ll surely conquer pain and death.

He will preach to one and all, commission us to do the same,
When we’ve heard salvation’s call, for the Glory of His name.
As believers we now stand, and proclaiming night and day.
Of this heaven sent command, Jesus Christ’s the only way.

Chorus

He is the great I Am,
The sacrificial Lamb.
He is the Lord of all,
And at his feet we fall.

Chorus

Beautiful! Does it have a tune to go with it?

I just wrote the lyrics (and did the youtube video). Another guy (who's very talented) did the tune, wrote the music and sang the song. :)
Well, both of you did a great job! Sorry that you are not getting many likes. You are both super talented. Now, I am nearly 74 years old, so your music is not exactly my style of music, but it wasn't out of the range of what I can enjoy, either. But I can still spot talent when I see/hear it, and I like the message you are giving, too. I hope you get more listeners. I majored in music education when I was in college a long time ago, but did not get a degree. My daughter followed in my steps, but she did get her degree, and she does teach music and she leads music at her church gathering. She sings and plays keyboard and her husband plays guitar. My oldest son plays guitar and keyboard in his praise band at his church, and he sings. My youngest son sings and plays bass guitar. All of my in-law children play musical instruments and some sing, too, and many of my grandchildren are also very musically talented, so we are a very musical family. And the Lord has given me many songs to write, but they are very simply done, except one of them was professionally recorded, except my old voice doesn't sound like it did when I was much younger. Anyway, I have a great appreciation for music and for poetry which honors and glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. So, thank you. Sue Love

Thank you for your very kind comments. I'd love to be talented and play an instrument and sing, but alas I can do neither. I did learn piano for about 8 years, and wrote a couple of tunes, but they were terrible. So, I just write poems all the time and try and give God all the glory in what I do. If someone gets anything out of the words I write, then I am thankful to God, and pray that they will come closer to the Creator of the world. Really interested to read that you and your family are so in to music, do you have your professional song on youtube, as I'd love to hear it.
Here's another of my lyrics that is acoustic in style.
God bless you, and thank you for your encouragements.

So, I was 61 years old when the Lord called me to write songs. I had not been singing much so my voice was rusty. But someone had to sing the songs, so I was it. Then a music producer from Nashville contacted me on LinkedIn where I was sharing some of the songs and he approached me about professionally recording one. I immediately told him no, so he wrote back and asked me if I had prayed about it. Sadly I had not. I just assumed I was not recording material. So I prayed, and God clearly said to go.

I was working on a new one at the time and I knew this was the one. But then I lost my voice and so I prayed, and the Lord still clearly said to go, only this would be going totally on faith, not knowing what would happen. My husband agreed, so we went. But when I arrived at the studio to record, still no voice, none at all. So I stepped into that recording booth totally on faith.

I stepped up to the microphone and the music began to play, and I opened my voice, and there it was, not a great voice by this time, but exactly the voice the Lord wanted me to have for that song. And it has not gotten many likes, but I am convinced this was a miracle of God and that he using it somewhere or he will still use it. But it definitely has a message relevant to where our nation (USA) and our world is today.

Beautiful song. Thank you or sharing that. Seeing those pictures of 9/11 brought back many memories of that day. Our lives are so short, and no one knows when they will end. We need God all the time, and we need to lean on him to get us through lifes struggles. God bless you. Just off to church now (I'm in the UK) :)

Subscribed! Also, I enjoy the shape of the original poem. May the Lord bless your music writing ventures.

I think you may wish to put up a profile photo and some about information for the channel, that will give it some legitimacy and traction. The videos on the channel are beautiful, and worth promoting via a blog or other social media.
