I have been in search (for at least a year now) of a copy of a story i heard on the radio. I do not remember the date. It was at least a year ago that I heard the story/interview on the radio. Problem is I don't remember which station I heard it on. It may have been on the satellite radio?
The story/interview was about forgiving, more so about how this mom was finally able to forgive the man who killed her daughter. The story was being told in the form of an interview. A man broke into the home where 2 sisters(i think?) were home alone. I do not remember the details of what he did to the girls but one of them died as a result.
After the capture, trial, and conviction, the killer was sentenced to death. I do not remember how much time passed before the mom and girl(pretty sure she is the sister) would visit with the killer. I think she talks about details of his life and what led him to do the things he did. The mom after getting to know the killer, went on to try and stop the killer from being put to death. In one of the visits the sister?? asked the killer "why didn't you kill me too?" His reply, "I thought I did."
As i said i have been in search of this story for some time. If you know how i can get any info on it I would really appreciate it. You have my permission to contact me any way possible if it will help me find it. Thank you.
