Talking snakes, magical trees, angels with flaming swords . . . what more do you need to indicate a parable?
I'm not doubting that fossils come from once living beings.So no response on all of the purposeful changes would need to be made in order to make the Earth look like it does? It is just our fault for thinking fossils came from once living organisms?

I guess you'll have to take that up with those who believe in fake fossils.The appearance of age that creationists put forth requires these fossils to be fakes. They claim that rocks date old through radiometric dating because they were created with the appearance of age. Those rocks sit on top of fossil bearing sediments. This means that if the rocks above fossils were created as part of the Earth during the creation week, then the fossils were also created in this event. God would have to create fake fossils.
If these rocks were not created during the creation event, then creationists do not have an explanation for why they date so old. This puts us back to square one, and the creationists without an explanation for the facts.
So either God created the Earth with fake fossils, or this appearance with age explanation is hogwash. Which is it?

In your model, there should only be 6,000 years of aging after creation. Therefore, any fossils found under rocks with millions of years of aging had to be created in the original creation event.
