Important question for bloggers

Or not so important, depending if you think it is or don't.

From time to time I update my blog with new stuff. I've just discovered I could add sound to it! Eureka!

Anyway, I have a question. Could someone who doesn't have a fast speed check it out? I want to know if there are any errors for those who don't. Maybe because of the sound file it loads slower than usual and I wouldn't want that. I can't tell because I have broadband, so it doesn't appear to be slow.

For me, once I go to the site it only takes two seconds for the music to appear. Thanks and I would be indebted if some of you could check it out!

Yeah, I'll try it for a week and see. I figure the volume can be turned down. If I see a decline in time spent on the blog I'll cut it out.

Jeffrey is correct. Uninvited music on a webpage shuold always be avoided. It is incredibly annoying...especially when you're at work.

Thanks to you ND. That site was the obvious thing to look at and I forgot I had the link to it until you reminded me. I'm going to keep the music just for today and see if there is a decline in page views. I like it, but I agree it may be an inconvenience. I definitely don't want to keep it if that's the case.

You probably won't see a decline in page views right away. It will taker a few visits before people get frustrated enough to stop visiting. I would watch it over the next week if your curious to see how it impacts the traffic.

I have to agree with JL. I don't want to have to turn down my speakers everytime I web browse at work... you know... on my lunch break.

Maybe you could include a link to the music so that people can turn it on if they want, but have it start normally without music.
