Important interpretation? : does having been a monkey, help all future "evolutions" in a monkey way?

If I had a relevant adaptation, but it was hard to use to help me survive, I would give up on it...

Every ancestor of mine I can identify individually is human, just like for you. That's mostly because they all lived in the last 500 years or so. But, millions of years my ancestors were not human. (Also just like yours, as they were the exact same individuals.)
