He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
4Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Nope. I see Jesus repeating it to make a point.or his blockheadedness anywhere at all?
so Peter did NONE of this stuff?? No matter what version you read...it says the same stuff!Because interpretations vary. Therefore opinions vary. Apparently all are valid. And on and on it goes.
Peter did reject Christ, but he was also the first to acknowledge Christ. Funny how quick everyone is to color Peter as this stubborn, semi-retarded (apparently) buffoon who couldn't get anything right. He was the first to acknowledge the divinity of Christ. Should count for something, but it probably won't. People see what they want to see.so Peter did NONE of this stuff?? No matter what version you read...it says the same stuff!
OH for Pete's sake...(no pun intended). YES, Peter did end up redeeming himself. BUT you are missing the point of all the other stuff...so yes, people see only what they want to see...Peter did reject Christ, but he was also the first to acknowledge Christ. true. I mean, I don't agree with your doctrine or theology...but you as a person I am sure you are a good person and we could be friends. BUT just cause I don't agree doesn't make me a bad person either, or less of a person or anything else. Right?Probably what causes 95% of the bickering here. People see things as they see them, and everyone has differing perspectives on things, and we are all convinced that our own position is the right one, therefore anyone who doesn't agree is wrong. I am as guilty as anyone.
Yes Peter was a great Apostle. He ended up loving the Lord agape as Jesus wanted Him too. I get a big kick out of Peter. He was quick to speak. Some call him the footshaped Apostle. He would open his mouth and have to stick his foot into it. But He loved the Lord. And the Lord loved Peter.Peter did reject Christ, but he was also the first to acknowledge Christ. Rick...Peter was a block head..LOL...he was stubborn, proud and he rejected Jesus 3 times..DENIED Him...some first 'pope' that is...he lied...gee..how can one not see this?

Says the one who thinks it says Highly Favored rather than Full of Grace. Maybe it is you who should do some deep studying in the language of the Bible. You would need to dig deeper into scripture to find out that when Jesus gave them this authority about sin is much different that how you through your church read it. Do a deep greek study on what Jesus said there.
Don't put words in my mouth. I said dead when not interpreted properly hence dead when you try to tell the Church what is what. Thanks but no thanks.I will not argue with you about scripture because in your eyes they are dead words on paper.
No. Again, you will Interpret.I will Post scripture for it is the word of God. I will let scripture speak for itself for It is alive and active.
Well if you can't error on interpretating and knowing what God wants definitively then you must be. Or do you mean you may be in error and may change your mind down the future but just preach anyways and hope for the best.Who says we are infallible. We can say that the Holy Spirit is .
Exactly. Start with the premise that we ARE brothers and sisters in Christ and work our way from there.true. I mean, I don't agree with your doctrine or theology...but you as a person I am sure you are a good person and we could be friends. BUT just cause I don't agree doesn't make me a bad person either, or less of a person or anything else. Right?
He wasn't just asking Him if He loved Him. He told Him to feed His Sheep while the flock was in that very room. There is a reason as to why Peter was asked three times if He loved Jesus. For it was Peter who denied Jesus three times.
And this means..........Paul was to also preach the Gospel. Called by God to do this. We see more of His writings and feeding the sheep than we do Peters.
They were not all called Rock, given the Keys to Heaven, and specifically asked to feed the sheep while the others were still present. They all preach the same. Timothy. Titus ,Paul, Peter, Jude, John, They all feed Gods sheep. They are the Apostles. with a capitol A. We see in scripture also with the scripture I gave you that the callings and gifts are from the Lord and not handed down.
