1- Depends on how you define "good". It has it's good and bad points and it's definetely not for everybody. If you enjoy RPG's then you'll probabbly like WoW.

2- People get addicted to collecting things. Some people take WoW way too seriously and turn into the 20 year old equivalent of the crazy cat lady. Wether it be leveling up, making money, collecting items, or raiding, some people over do it.

3- It's world wide, but you are limited where you can play. The european and asian servers are seperate from the western servers. We only see the Oceanic, North American, and Latin American servers. You have to have a European account to play on the European servers, and the only way to get that is to have the verification code from the cd sleeve, which has to come from Europe. Same for the US and Asia. So your odds of meeting foriegners are pretty slim, but they do exist.

Overall I like it. It's great to play with a small group of friends. You can play for an hour or two at a time and get something accomplished. Although if you ever get serious about raiding you'll need 3+ hours. There are some frustrating elements, mainly all the idiots, but that's the double edged sword of having a community.

Im thinking of trying WOW is it any good? I heard its very addictive why is that? is this game world wide like do people all over the world can join you?

IT'S AWESOME. =D

It's a great game as long as you don't make it your life. I have a level 80 priest who I'm raiding with, but it's definitely time consuming >< Just make sure you know your priorities.

You meet new people online as well as do raids and dungeons with them. It's basically a virtual world placed for your enjoyment.

I played WoW from the original open Beta and on for two years straight. For me it was an entire consumption on my life. For others it's something that's fun, but they can have their focus elsewhere too. It just comes down to whether you have an addictive personality. For example, I can't watch just one show in a rented TV series on DvD; I have to keep watching them until I pass out at 5 in the morning. I just get way into things. I have to limit myself in how fanatical I can get. If you like to RPG and really get involved with a character, then WoW is something you need to stay away from. I spent 2 years on it, and I have nothing to show for it except a fierce longing to go back to it and knowledge I never can.

Roll a hunter, all the noobs do.

Seriously most long term player have levelled their first toon to the max, then switched a new class which is no their main.

That's what I would advice.

Sure Hunter is extreme easy mode, but it allows you to learn the game.

Believe it or not there is a learning curve.

If you decide to start playing you might want to start your toon an Thundehorn realm. There are a few Christian guilds on there. I am in two of them. (One for main one for alts. plus I just like all of the people) They are Narrow Path and By His Stripes. Click the names for the websites.
