I was just wondering if anybody else has been there? How did you get there? And how does one act when he's visiting a Monastery? Also, which big city is Platina close to?

Thanks.chanter said:It's up the coast from San Francisco in California.
That's a long trip. Will you be going with someone?
Andreas said:Thanks.
Yeah, I may be going with my Dad, or some other members of my family. Non of them are religious/Orthodox though.
Cool. If I really end up going, I may drop him a PM.chanter said:Check with BAChristian over in OBOB. He lives near San Francisco. Maybe he can meet you?
That must be pretty cool to live so close.Nickolai said:If you can't make it to St. Herman's you can always take a trip to St. Tikhon's in South Caanan, PA. I'm going there with my soon to be spiritual father and some other people from my church on the last weekend in may. I can't waitI live in PA though, so it's kinda easy for me to get there.
You would do that?Suzannah said:"If you go there, take a jacket..."

Seriously, if you come here, you would be best off to call your Auntie Suzannah so she can meet you at the monastery!
Yes, I would. It's about four hours drive from here. ( I live n the desert interior of Northern Nevada, near Pyramid Lake). Actually, I've not been there yet. It would be icing on the cake to make my first trip there, to meet YOU and "company". The very best thing would be if you brought Umut with you...*sigh*...an Auntie can wish right???Andreas said:You would do that? That would be the best.

How many Irish mothers (Aunties) does it take to change a light bulb????

With God, all things are possible!!!Andreas said:Nice joke.
Yeah, it would be great to bring Umut, but that doesn't seem possible.
But yeah, I hope everything would work out and we could meet at such a Holy place.
Okay, you are a wee shorter than me.Suzannah said:With God, all things are possible!!!
And I assure Umut: I am smaller/shorter than both of you...
4'10.
Love,
Auntie Suzannah
