  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Greetings to all.  I am new here and just thought I'd tell you a little about me and my family.  I am the mother of 4 very special kids.  My oldest is 29 and works at rehabilitating closed head injured people.  I have a 21 yr old daughter who lives in a group home.  She is significantly mentall disabled and has schizophrenia.  I also have a 19 yr old son.  He was discharged the past October after being in a psych hosp for 3 & 1/2 yrs.  He also is DD, has schizophrenia  severely, OCD and anorexia.  My youngest is 17....normal....thank God!!!  I've been married to my husband for a little ofver 22 yrs. We are both born again Christians for the last 25 yrs and attend a non-denominational church.
