  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm new person! :)

Not too bad. I'm on summer vacation, so I've got alot of free time before college starts up again, which is kinda nice. You said your first langauge was sign, and your second was english, did your learn english without hearing, or did you get your hearing later in life? Just curious, I've always though sign language was really neat, but I can't imagine what beeing deaf is like honestly.

Ryder, My family is all hearing and I am only deaf. I grew up in public schools with hearing and deaf both, but my deaf programs had one all the through elementary to high school. However, my mother died when i'm 8 years old and she taught me how to learn english, but too late. My dad never teach me when he dropped his high school and never got GED degree. He went to plumber school, but he's luck. My sister and I grew up to communicate each other with sign language and she is good skills with signing on her hands.

My weakness subject is an english. My reading is doing good, but my writing is doing not well and it's tough one to me in my life. My challenge is communication with hearing people for writing on English.

I'm student in college. I also just rencently graduated in May from Howard Community College. Now, I transferred to Moody Bible Institute on this spring 2004 and my hopefully is so that they will be provide an interpreter in MBI. I'm a first person to enter in MBI.
