• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I agree with this, except to say that question one asks what really nobody has the right to ask on a public message board. What matters is only today, and tomorrow, and what pertains to them. Yesterday is NOT our concern.

I have told my own priest things about my past, and present, that nobody else in the church will ever find out. Not because I have anything to hide, particularly, but because some people talk. It is their hobby. And I don't want my life to be part of that talk.

Catherineanne,
This man is in desperation. He seems to have tried to obtain help in churches, but rejection has been his experience. As a very desperate move, he cried out for help on this forum.

I took his request as genuine and responded accordingly.

Sincerely, Spencer

Dear Dirtydeak. You love Jesus, the best you can do, put all your sadness and your pain, at Jesus`s feet. Talk to Him and tell Him what really is wrong, Jesus will never send you away without helping you. Jesus told us to love our neighbour, all others, friend or not friend. Be kind and understanding, do not treat others as they treat you. Keep talking to our Saviour, He will understand. Put all at His Feet, and leave it there, Jesus will deal with it. Keep remembering that God is Love, He loves you. I say this with love. Greeting from Emmy, your sister in Christ. P.S. exchange Dirtydeak for another Deak; perhaps grateful or happy?

I understand that, and I was intending to support what you said. Most of it I heartily agree with, which is rare from me in relation to your posts, OS, as no doubt you know.

But the questions you ask in the first bit are best asked in PM, if at all. I think there are some questions that don't belong in public. This poor soul has suffered enough, and does not deserve a catechism.

If you're worried about the police (I can understand), you're much more likely to receive good help if a pastor or counselor helps you in filing a report. Also, it's important to see a GOOD counselor at a GOOD church because I'm not in Orlando, and so I can't help you out... you need somebody physically there that you can see and who can walk you through some things.

Let us know if you made it to the church today. You'll need to make some good decisions in order to help yourself.

how about phoning around and interviewing churches? leadership that knows is not a bad thing at all. as part of the churches leadership, it's our duty to know who we have around our children. it's safest not just for the chilren, but for offenders too. the leadership that is good, will look past what you have done to all your needs. i'll bet you can find a christian support group for sexs offenders. if not, why not start one? the lord will help you. yes there is very realistic consequences and hurdles to jump. the Lord will help you through this. except that you have subjected yourself to be at the fault of your behavior. it's ok. if you except your medicine, know it's all around you. people are terribly hard on sex offenders. then you'll stop blamming God for punishing you. instead of being beat: surround yourself with support. then you have helping hands as you walk through your fires. my mailbox is always open. i have exsperiance with things that may make for a good friend for you. i post alot, so it will keep me from loosing you in the crowds too. xo, dee
