  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'll be leaving soon...

I'm going away the week after next for a whole week. Ironically, I am coping alot better now that I've made the committment to leave. Go figure.

I also went to the doctor this morning and he told me that I am suffering from mental and physical exhaustion, that I am seriously anemic, and that I could well benefit from seeing a counselor or therapist. We will see about that after my 'great escape'.

Thank you all for being here for me. I can't tell you how much it means to me.

My love and prayers are with you all.

I'm so glad you went to the doctor - I had some serious concerns about your health - being anemic is no fun :(  I'm am "normally" anemic, but earlier this year my count was extremely low - after an adjustment to my thyroid med I was feeling much better.

Praying you have an awesome week and that you find a godly counselor that encourages you greatly :)

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, Sandy. Mommy had a physical last Tuesday; the doc put her on an anti-depressant (Celerex?) and she's doing much better. :)

Her situation at work, however, is still the pits. Yesterday her boss told her she ought to find another job. (Not like she hasn't been trying---she's been sending out resume's like confetti.) Personally, I hope she gets the one she applied for back up in The Great White North where we were before we moved down here in June '01---but wherever she goes, at least she won't be working for these morons any more.

God is the only One who knows where we're going to be in a couple months.....Mommy's time where she's at is limited, as she knows fully well they're going to ax her in the near future. Unfortunately, God is kind of close-mouthed about it, and He ain't talking. :) Say a prayer for us if you get a chance, willya?

Especially for me, since if we move again, I'll have to move all these damn books again.

May God bless you ZooMom and give you peace, comfort, and rest.

I pray that whatever treatment the doc is using to treat your anemia is successful. Anemia can sometimes take quite a while to treat so be patient with yourself and your doc.

 Lynn

Zoo - you are in my prayers. I hope you have a blessed time. For the anemia, try taking some yellowdock tincture or tea to boost your iron. It is a yummy tea that is very rich in bioavailable iron. Hopefully it will help that. Deal with the stress, as that is likely the underlying cause of your anemia.  If the yellowdock doesn't help, add some dandelion, sarsaparilla, or parsley in it.  Also, avoid black tea, which slows down your body's ability to absorb iron.

Wols - your family (and your books) are in my prayers!

I am so glad you went to the doctor for a check up.  Like LilyLamb, I was concerned for your health as well.  As the medical problems get worked out, your mental health will improve so much.

Enjoy your week.  I'll be praying that you will find exactly what you need during that time.  Just rest in Him.

God Bless.

Thank you all.

jukes, as a matter of fact I ate wild boar BBQ last night. It was yummy.

Wols, you and yours are always in my prayers. I'll ask for special help for you now, though.

((Lynn)) :)

Avila, thanks for the suggestions! I didn't know that about black tea, and of course I drink it every day.

((onesheep)) Do you think they would just let me lay on the floor in the chapel for the whole week? I could just pray and sleep without having to move. ;)

lambslove, that is my prayer as well. :)
