  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For me it's really this night job. I work an 8 hour shift and am so wiped I sleep until about now.

I was struggling earlier with why I need to follow through on this temp job commitment and right now I'm thinking it's because I'm carpooling with my dad 3 days a week. It's an opportunity to share my faith with him.

Please keep this in prayer, because my dad isn't a Christian and it's really difficult for him to understand where I'm coming from sometimes.

Also, I can be a really cranky bear when I'm tired...which doesn't make me a very good witness.

IJWTS - I am done with this group of people for a bit. Apparently there are a lot of people here who like to gossip, slander, and get together in little private parties and gossip about others saying they're being gossiped about.

Let's make one thing clear: I don't KNOW any of you people. I have had THREE people on my instant messengers from here and from what I understand those people talking about me AREN'T in that group. So how I could be sharing secrets about people that I don't talk to is quite a feat to me.

I find it sad that people don't understand the difference between NOT betraying someone's confidence and random gossip. If you ask me to keep a secret ABOUT YOURSELF, I will do my BEST to go to the grave with it. If someone asks something about you, that person will be directed elsewhere because the information won't come from me. I DON'T gossip about people and I find it SICK that it's assumed I do.

If you have an issue with ME, then you need to come to ME about it...not sit around with random people and discuss me.

Those who are already in touch with me know where to find me. Anyone else? Yeah...probably not a good idea unless it's to clear the air.

This is the most important part of your post. There is a HUGE difference. I find it distrubing that some people don't get the information they want, then go to other people to seek out that information. They complain about others gossiping, yet sit around and gossip about the gossipers.

I'm done for a while too.
