  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I will never be a lame young newlywed who's popping out kid after kid right away, living in some ultra-conservative richy-rich cookie-cutter suburb, driving my spoiled brats to soccer practice and cheerleading, and gossiping with all the other cliquey soccer moms.

Umm NO! Not me! NEVER! I REFUSE to ever become this type of person.

Because when you're married they're harder to come by.

Not to mention if one person works out of town a lot they are definitely sparse. My BFF posts all her date nights on FB and I am more than happy for her because her husband is deployed 9 months out of the year and has been for the last 5 years.

Well that's different, of course.

I apologize if I wasn't clear. I meant the newlyweds who have been married 12 weeks and have posted at least 36 date night statuses complete with photo documentation of every minute of every one.

Double points if they post to each other on there about how much they love and adore one another when they will see each other in less than an hour... or are in the same room.
