Crossbows can be intimidating at first, but after a while you get used to them.

Yeah, I would get used to them... I've just had experience with them trying to pull my arm out of my socket... which makes them scary to me. I wish I had my own longbow... that would be amazing. I'm sorry you had to sell yours!
I took an archery class and they mostly used longbows... because that's all they had. They brought in two crossbows and we all got to try them. Woo, scary stuff. Ha, ha.

I've shot archery ever since I could pull the string back...I just don't like shooting out here where I live because of the wind. Crossbows shoot the bolt faster, so the wind isn't as much of a factor (in my experience). But yes, some crossbows will pull your arm out of the socket.

Still, if my opponent has a sword, I'll take a bow, thank you very much.

I agree, the bow is mightier than the sword.

Well, mainly, it just means I can poke 'im from a longer distance than he can poke me.

Catapaults still rule the day...

Ha, ha. The only catapult I've ever used was one I've made myself with a couple of spoons... and I really don't think that would be better than a bow. Yours is probably one of those big wooden awesome ones, huh? Because I would believe that that's better than a sword...
Although, aren't those tied back with a rope or something to keep them from shooting? Because if they are, then you might need a sword to cut the rope, which would make the sword VERY useful to you and possibly more useful than the catapult if it takes a sword to make the catapult work.

IJWTS Hmm... there was this giant square like thing that had the back of a pillow case, was that the sham? If that's the case, it's pretty feminine and I definitely won't use it. I hope whoever I marry won't insist on having a "sham" or whatever.
