  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS, not that it applies to our marriage, but I can't believe there are people who can't wrap their minds around the idea that marriage is not just about sex and some people do get married even if they are totally incapable of having sex with each other. To say that "marriage is sex" as if it is the be all end all of things is so... shallow.

IJWTS-I was watching a clip of some political commentary and one of the guests had the mannerisms of someone I know/knew. So, I looked up the political guest and they are from the same state. I wonder if I have Wisconsin mannerisms. Although I don't think there are Wisconsin mannerisms. I looked up one of the other political guests and he didn't have any particular mannerisms. I wonder,then, if it's just that one state that produces mannerism people.

Good post

I always believe that marriage is about love and not always about the physical benefits. Sex is a part of marriage yes, but a very small part. There are other things such as family, fellowship, and a lifetime togetherness

Well, you could go discuss it in the marriage forum... but I probably won't be discussing it there anymore. People can believe whatever. I don't care anymore. Their beliefs are their issue to deal with.
