...it's because right now, for whatever reason, I'm in a real funk.
It may be a combination of "post-surgical blahs" plus a trip to my uncle's funeral in Florida (which also dispelled any idea that my father and I have actually reconciled: two days at his house being treated to profanity-laden invective was all I could take) plus dealing with a serious accident my sister-in-law had the day before my surgery (for me, it was a no-brainer: my partner needed to be with his sister since her situation was far more severe than mine); plus the fact that she had (and survived) a pulmonary embolism following surgery and all that entailed -- but emotionally, I'm worn out right now and I just don't have the emotional energy to argue for the sake of arguing.
Sorry if I've let anybody down, but right now I'm in "self-protect" mode and that means not getting into needless arguments just for the sake of arguing.
I'm doing fun stuff (for me) which includes analyzing all the years since 1899 in terms of "El Niño/La Niña/neither) and determining the number and severity of:
anamalous winter heat waves
Hey: I never said I wasn't a geek at heart.
I know: "this, too shall pass."

anamalous winter heat waves
- anamalous summer heat waves to see if there is a correlation with La Niña/El Niño summer and winter heat wave events
- anamalous winter cold waves to see if there is correlation with number and intensity with respect to La Niña/El Niño events.
