Josh 2:4 And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:

help me understand what you're saying; she hid them, but then honestly did not know where she hid them, or where to find them later?

Isaac also said that Rebekah was his sister (like his father Abraham did of Sarah), at least Sarah was Abrahams half sister but Rebekah was not Isaac's

again, i'm trying to understand what you're saying - is there any clear indication in scripture that Abraham's or Isaac's lies about their wives being sisters instead of wives was due to God's instruction to them to lie?

I dont wish to be rude but I havent time for dealing with denial.

no offense taken; still trying to understand - are you saying that God sometimes condones or even sponsors lying?

If the government was looking for those who belong to God, I believe most christians wouldnt hide them but rather hand them over to their death.

A brother betraying brother to their death (Judas, the traitor situation).

Afterall, in the last days men would be traitors (in the plural likewise)

The thought, suits the times actually.

in the example of Rahab, if she had volunteered the location of the spies to the rulers of Jericho, she would have indeed betrayed them; but to refuse to disclose their location instead of lying that they had left her house would probably have led to her own arrest and the arrest of the israelite spies - so the logical question is, would God have supernaturally protected them as he did Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and Daniel? well, were the spies following God's instructions? what did Jesus say about such a situation?

Mar 13:9-13 KJV
(9) But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
(10) And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
(11) But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
(12) Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
(13) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

the question remains; would God who hates lies lead someone to lie?

I would hand you over to a murderous government seeking to kill you if you like.

Judas did.

Wheres the Lord?

(I know!) Follow me! (says Judas)

The one I kiss, that is him!

(smooch!)

I told the truth! (betray the son of man with a KISS?)

Good job, Judas, you told the truth, you must be led of the Spirit

if you think about telling a lie... is it the same as saying it?

2Co 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

once the thought of lying pops up in your head, you have two options:

1) dwell on that thought (it is sinning against God)

or

2) immediately bring that thought to Christ and tell Him, "here is that thought, I reject it and give it to You, because I know that it is not from You" (it is not sinning against God, in fact, your relationship with Him is strengthened, because you team up with Him).
