  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you do not purge the old, how can the new take hold?

As ytrrium pointed out; populations evolve, people do not.
No being can resurrect. It's impossible, save without divine interference. The fact you had to stoop to include resurrection shows that you don't understand the first thing about evolution and are scientifically illiterate.

An individual doesn't evolve, a population evolves. But if the child resurrects, then we have a whole new topic in biology to explore! Especially with two resurrections, that's a neat trick.

So, everyone says "this is evolution" but you don't and your response is "i don't need to because I'm just an individual"? I think you are going to say "this is evolution, just like everyone".

So you see no progression, in one resurrection to the next?

What about something getting a "second wind", that's unscientific too?

Well, when you put it like that, I must affirm that the cognizance of destiny in evolutional syndromes connotes an individual re-synchronization of distributed axioms. Hence a reincarnation of essential serendipity requires a first confluence of essences.

Yes, but I don't think you are taking distributed axioms as your foundation, that's what's confusing. If you did, you wouldn't use a word like "destiny".

Whether or not you expect me to take this seriously, consider that reincarnation accelerates the survival of a species - the moreso the more that species pursues creation.

I think if you want a working modality for Evolution (give or take serendipity, to be realistic) you need to subdue the protraction of the pursuit of it, to allow the strength of it, to take hold.

That is an Evolution I can exercise, one that tames the spirit. I think if you practiced Evolution in that way, for the better part of your life, you would find you had a great deal of self-control. Properly practiced, I think it would matter less what evolutionary development came about, so much as being there for those that wish to become what they reckon they are able to be.

An exaggerated mindfulness that can become less human, in lieu of greater compassion, is the answer to Evolution that I think Buddha would approve of.

Resurrection is impossible, and getting a second wind has nothing to do with evolution.

Individuals don't evolve. Stop talking as if they do.
