  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Over the last year I have engaged a lot of people in conversations in quite a few different situations. I've had some amazing things said to me about how I'm concern about those around, how I treat others with respect. That I'm honest, loving, smart, knowledgeable, confident, caring, and other things.

I did a workshop last year that we did an exercise that we were told we died and there there was a thought process about our life and relationships. Basically, I couldn't think of a thing that I'd change in my life. To the best of my ability I'm doing what God wants to do. And I'm getting to share my faith in Christ with people that for the most part aren't around other Christians.

What would people say about you? What would you want them to say? Are there changes in your life that need to be made in order for you to feel comfortable with whatever "legacy" you leave?

I would want them to say I had a heart of gold. I would want them to remember my humor. They would probably say I had a nice smile. I would want them to say I loved God and loved people.

I don't think I could ever change enough to get comfortable with my legacy.

Great responses, and for the record I think you both are awesome people and I would have nothing but good things to say about you.

I'm far from being anywhere near where I should be, but as long as people can say I loved the Lord and had a wonderful heart, I think I could die happy.

Yeah that made me LOL
Lately I will be typing or writing and want to type a certain word but will have to pause to remember what the word was, or how to spell it, especially if it's one of those words that have multiple spellings like here, or hear

What would people say about you?
I wish they'd say the same as they did about Steve Hill when he passed away and I just love how he made his own funeral sermon to warn people and tell them the gospel.
I was at a funeral and the preacher was his son, he said to the mostly unbelieving family members and friends: If you want to see him again, this is the way and then told 'em the gospel.

I have a LOT of changes I need to make. I should probably get started on that..

Changes are good, but God only wants us to change our hearts and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and what He did on the cross for us. He paid for our sin because we never would be able to do enough or be good enough to pay for our sin ourselves. Thank God, He sent Jesus to die in our place!
The other changes you think you need to make will come, when God changes your heart, but you will still struggle the spirit against the flesh.

I wouldn't be concerned what other say. Only what God has to say about how I spent my saved years representing him due to being Born Again in Christ.

The question was not "would you be concerned what other's say about you?" The question was "what do you think people would say about you?"

Who knows for sure. What does it matter ? It only matters what the One says whom I served since getting saved. I think if they said anything at all, it would be : ' I sure liked the way he sang the Johnny Rivers song called Poor Side of Town on Karoake night.' .
