If you could enter any order

Hypothetically speaking, if you could enter any order and become a religious, what order would you choose and why?

I'll go first....I was always attracted to the contemplative life. I'd probably choose the Discalced Carmelites. I find the concept of a small but not too small convent comfortable for having a sense of community but also a sense of a private relationship with Christ. I find the idea of wearing a full habit a way to keep mindful of my position and the tradition of the many women who have worn the same before me, the full robes also call to mind the way Mary the Mother of our Lord and Mary Magdalene dressed. Carmelite spirituality is all-encompassing and puts one very much in touch with God and the sufferings of Christ and the martyrs.

Because of my educational background, I would join the Daughter's of St. Paul. They mission involves communication and media.

The Jesuits kind of remind me of Episcopalians.

I've posted it before but I would join The Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George.

They are one of the few active orders that still wear a habit.

I would also choose the Discalced Carmelites, but I don't know why exactly. I suppose it is the mystical theology. You know, John Paul the Greatest wanted to be a Carmelite.

i would choose an order that had adoration. around the clock if possable if not at least an hour a day. Probably the Franciscans that run EWTN i know thy have adoration! and i love St. Francis!!

Yes, they are. If you join the Sisters when I join the Friars, we would be working along side each other.

The friars also work with the Nashville Dominicans as well.

I really like the dominicans devotion to the rosary and dedication to teaching, but I also admire the charism of the Franciscans. Although, I don't think I have a vocation to be a carmelite (maybe third order), I love their spirituality. It would be a tossup.
