Agree. If I were in charge, there would be no discrimination between mice and rats. (Rats would therefore also be guaranteed to last at least 5 years, postponing the sadness of children owning rats, which is pretty much currently guaranteed after 2).

If I were in charge, we'd just print more money so everyone could have as much as he wanted, without disenfranchising the Royal Family, although, I'd also mount an investigation into the origins of said Royal Family to ensure they are legitimate, as one can't just go around committing regicide willy-nilly in order to get one's self a turn on the throne, even if it was done by one's ancestors.
