Ideas for a mission?

I want to start a mission...at least thats what I think it's called. I am farely new to truly following and worshiping our Lord the way I should. I have recently been baptized and decided to change.

I go to a very small church , with about 12 members (mostly senior citizens). We live a in a small town as well.

I want to start a mission of some sort. I just feel like it would be great. Whether it be to help pregnant women, hungry kids ect.

Anyone care to give me some ideas so that I can share them and get ideas as to what we could start.

Sorry! I am just so anxious to help others and serve the Lord as I have recently learned to do~!

Just as an idea and a method...

Look around...see what is missing. What does the community that you live in need or would want?

I live in a big city...in an apartment complex currently. One of the neighbors started a kickball game in a field after first posting flyers by the mailbox. The neighborhood kids loved it. The field fills up every saturday with teenagers. (14 and up) Adults are welcome too and they do show up. The whole time these kids and adults are playing they are being witnessed to. You don't have to hit them over the head with a bible or verses...but simplly playing and having a good time and leading by example is the best way to start.

Then as opportunities to be of even more service to these people comes about...then give them the gospel.
