Hi there, I would like to learn more about your faith. I have come across a lot of different denominations with lies within their doctrine, so please, forgive me. I would like to ask several questions to see which truths you guys agree with and to see if you are indeed the True Church. For God seeks those who worship in spirit and truth. Please, the more involved, the better. I have many questions. Also, if you bring a truth, please prove it with the scriptures.

First of all, why do you guys feel the way you do about communion? I think I agree but I need to know more.

This is an interesting challenge you are posing unto others. There has to be some presuppositions in what you are stating that must be answered first.

1) Could you please explain and prove how you understand that there is a True Church that is to be identified with a particular denomination of Christians;

2) Could you identify how you have established that there are lies and the malice of lies in different denominations apart from your own;

3) Could you explain what you mean by communion; and,

3) Could you explain why a person's feeling about that communion has any relevance to what that communion should be.

Once this is done I would be happy to venture into an explanation of my beliefs.

I agree that we must walk, in abiding love, in Spirit and in truth.

I think every denomination thinks theirs is at least part of "the true church" otherwise we would not have chosen the denomination we have. So when you say "to see if you are the true church, it brings up a few thoughts...first that it sounds like an invitation to defend our faith (and most Anabaptists are peaceful, non-confrontational and avoid that kind of arguing), and second, "the true church" according to who? To you? But we believe we are part of the true church, so it is not up to us to defend out faith, but rather about you to learn about our faith and see whether or not you are a suitable fit or if you prefer another denomination or another faith persuasion altogether. What I am saying is that you will be hard pressed to find an Anabaptist to engage in a defensive dialogue with you, especially on a non-debate board.

KENIK interspersed with my answers (i'm not speaking for the author of the op said:
1) Could you please explain and prove how you understand that there is a True Church that is to be identified with a particular denomination of Christians;[/U]
my reply: explain, yes. prove, no. "... that there is a true church": ecclesia is the set apart born again sanctified believers immersed(always) in Yeshua's Name, abiding in Him, alive in Him, and His Word abiding in them. ecclesia is rare; a narrow way, and few find.
..." identified with a particular denomination": no.

2) Could you identify how you have established that there are lies and the malice of lies in different denominations apart from your own;
my reply: yes. i whole=heartedly believed, totally and fully, when i first was saved, that all the churches were already saved before me (that i was the last one saved in the country, in churches) and that i could rejoice in fellowship in all the churches anywhere and everywhere in the new-found joy of salvation and fellowship in Yeshua Messiah. one by one, painfully, gradually, over many years, i joined and discovered after joining that the people said one thing, (with their lips), but didn't live it nor even willing to believe it enough to live it. they 'established' their own judgment of themselves, in each case where this happened.

3) Could you explain what you mean by communion; and,
my reply: no (it doesn't matter here and now)

3) Could you explain why a person's feeling about that communion has any relevance to what that communion should be.
my reply: no (it doesn't matter here and now)

Once this is done I would be happy to venture into an explanation of my beliefs.
my reply: Yhwh willing

I agree that we must walk, in abiding love, in Spirit and in truth. ... quote]
my reply: yes, but unless the Father grants it from heaven, even this is not understood by any man.

Most interesting, Yeshuaslavejeff. I think that the issue of what is communion in a true church is the issue for God Is Immortal.

Your answers to #3 and #4 seem to indicate that communion is something not important, possibly a ritual. Are you not in communion with God when you are conscious of Him, and when you are not conscious of Him? I'm sure that you are. The communion question God Is Immortal is raising is quite important and we shall see what he says.

communion is a sacred practice that Jesus said we can do. It involves giving thanks for the bread (Christ's body) and the blood (Christ's shed death).

WE must consider the awesome gift that God gave his children when partaking in communion. We must also examine our walk with the Lord and make sure we don't have any secret sin that we are PRACTICING.

We all sin but to practice sin and take communion can bring death. Many in the 1st century Corinthian church would partake in communion by getting drunk and partaking in gluttony when breaking bread. They ended up under a curse and many were weak, sick and even dead because of this.

Examine yourself then partake. If you are in a service where they ask if you want to partake in cummunion but feel you are not ready. DONT DO IT.

REady yourself before partaking.

Blessings on your quest..
