  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I would be blessed

If some of you would pray with me.
We are having very hard financial times,,my husband had lost his job and had problems with unemployment due to his former boss not paying etc...
Anyhoo, we are in the last stage of forclosure,,sigh,,and have hired mitigators to try to work with the Mortgage co. in reinstating our mortgage.
So on top of this,,I am not going to be able to get gifts for my kids like I wanted this year,,every single penny is used. I called around and there is literally nothing as far as programs to help.
On top of that a letter came in the mail today telling us the house is being seized because my husband (who does things like this often) didn't pay 4000+ dollars in taxes.,,nor did he tell me about it.
This is a city that is very high in taxes,,one year is what we are behind!
With little humor today I recalled the saying "only sure thing in life is death and taxes".
And its true.
So I was wondering of I could ask for some prayers I was going to start tonight and say a Novena to St Jude and Padre Pio.
If anyone can think of any other prayers please let me know.
I shared I hope it was not too much but I wanted anyone who prays to know a bit more about the dire situation.
Thank you in advance:kiss:
Sorry for blabbering!

An update:
Well we sent most of our money to the company that will be trying to reinstate the mortgage,,at that point we will hopefully be able to sell and move into a better neighborhood,,well one with more kids..and a home with less $$ tied in it.

Our car finally was 'diagnosed' as needing a EGS valve,,,eeeeeeekkkkkk 190 something it cost..it helped the car a lot but its still running very badly.
*Sigh* i have to do the car repairs or they won't get done....so the 200 dollars I got by pawning some items was spent for the car.......
So we are waiting to see if we can use any of his paycheck for gifts...there are so many bills....money is the root of all evil in that it causes such worry.
I am going to begin another novena to St Jude...
Thank you for praying for us.
It should not be like this...truth be told my husband is a nitwit with money and has gotten us in a very dire situation..
Again thank you!

Still praying for ya... :crossrc:

Remember the Bible verse, "in your anger, do not sin". This is most likely also a spiritual attack, and you should be very on your guard to not give in to resentment or unkind actions and words. Most of us, during times like this, need to go to confession regularly, to be in a state of Grace so that God can work in us and bless us.

Here's something I got on email today:
There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge
things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look
at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in
summer, and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe
what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son
said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.

The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so
sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.

The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping
with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they
had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.

He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season,
and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come
from that life can only be! measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring,
the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.

Moral:
Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don't judge life by one difficult season.
Persevere through the difficult patches
and better times are sure to come some time or later.

Oh... dear...
Well, Chchnut, You have got problems!
I have been without work for two years, but just received one, that will begin in January - so sometimes God does miracles...
I will be happy to pray for You, that He will do the same for You!
I beg God to give You a good Christmas - and a new job!
*praying with You*

have you tried talking to anyone about declaring bankruptcy? I really don't know any legal things behind it but, I've known people who have. There are legal options but, I'd have to ask around.
We're praying for you and your family:groupray: . you, Keep praying, times will come around... hopefully soon

Well I have not been here for a long time since June I believe.
I was very sick and the year, wow it has almost been a year, was crazy!
I really do think this was/is a spiritual attack.

We lost our money to the mitigators turns out they simply wanted the house.
The house was put on the market but the Banks lawyers came in 13 days too early and foreclosed on the home thus taking the sale away.
Tye monye we have lost to Lawyers is pretty sickening considering the ones who should have been representing us didn't do much good.
We went to appealette court but my husband failed to continue it.
It has been one harrassment after another.
Everyone we spoke to said the Banks attorneys could never go against a court order but they did.
So now we are in the home for one more month.
Then we have nowhere.
If anyone would still be up to praying we appreciate every single one,you really have no idea how much,I was so sick also for a long time one thing after another.
No need to get into the health issues.
I feel very far away from God and I think that is the worst of all.
But this year I saved up for Christmas and thank God the kids will have some things to receive.
Thank you ! :groupray:
