I suggest you read John Bunyan's "Pilgrims Progress". It is a great description of the believer's journey from conversion to heaven. It describes the blessings and difficulties along the way. It shows the different types of characters you will meet, who to freely fellowship with and who to be wary of. I have read it at least twice over the last 45 years, and every time I read it I get a further blessing and more wisdom from it. It is probably the best book alongside the Bible for practical Christian living as you journey toward the Celestial City.
