I Walked with God

[/FONT] I walked with God,
I held his hands,
I walked with God,
Throughout the lands

Up highest spots
Through grassy lands
Up mountain tops
Through thickest sands

Down mountain slopes
Upon great seas
I walked with hope
I walked with ease

I walked with God,
My greatest desire
I walked with God,
To the land of fire

And there I stopped…
Afraid of pain
And there I flopped
There I remain

“Come lets go forward”
Was what He said
Fear pulled me backward
And then I fled

I walked alone
With an aching heart
I walked alone
Back to the start

Swam through great seas
Up mountain slopes
Walked without ease
Walked without hope

Through thickest sands
Down mountain tops
Through grassy lands
Down highest spots

I walked alone
With an aching heart
I walked alone
Back to the start

And there I stood
And there I cried
And I understood
I needed God by my side…

“Don’t cry, I am here”
And He appeared
“Don’t cry, I am always near”
And He wiped my tears

I walked with God
I held his hands,
I walked with God,
Throughout the lands

Up highest spots
Through grassy lands
Up mountain tops
Through thickest sands

Down mountain slopes
Upon great seas
I walked with hope
I walked with ease

I walked with God,
My greatest desire
I walked with God,
To the land of fire

I walked through fire
I walked through pain
With whom I admire
With whom I remain…

I this is about how I grew up with God, but then abandoned him and lost faith in him. Then I realized that I truely needed him and now I continue to walk with him until I' reach His Home.
