  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi all,

I know I have had some rather odd messages recently, stating that the end of the world is upon us. I now am not so certain of this, and have good reason to doubt it. How I came to such a wild conclusion in the first place was by watching a ton of videos by people who claimed to have received visions from God stating the end was here. Because there were so many well-meaning people getting the same or similar visions, it made me feel there may have been truth to it. However I went to the bible to do some research into what it actually says about end times, and it does not match with what people were saying on these videos. As an example many people were stating God told them Barack Obama was the anti-Christ. Because I saw so many of these videos I started to believe it. However I recently started to do some research into what the bible actually says about the anti- Christ, and I found out that it was impossible for him to be the anti-Christ. The bible says of the anti-Christ, that he will be the 11th ruler of a kingdom that reigns over all the earth.

Daniel 7:24-25 out of this kingdom shall ten kings arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the former, and he shall put down three kings. And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.

Why this speculation about Barack Obama can not be true is is the 44th president of the United States. Not the 11th ruler of a kingdom that rules the whole earth.

From this experience, I say, be careful even though there may be a lot of stuff out there from well-meaning people stating they had a vision from God, it could all be rubbish. We need to be 100% certain of things before we share them, don’t take someone else’s word for it. Double check everything, pray it through, wait don’t rush. Waiting upon the LORD does not mean you don’t trust Him, He will not rush you, it is better to be sure than to have to apologise for mistakes.

I think it's best to have faith that God knows and He has it all under His control. :)

Hi all,

I know I have had some rather odd messages recently, stating that the end of the world is upon us. I now am not so certain of this, and have good reason to doubt it.

In late 2015, I fell into some deceiving videos about Barack being the anti-Christ. But the lady's justification was based on very complex Bible math about calendar dates. The dates all matched and I had double-checked everything she said with 3rd party sources. She didn't make anything up really, and maybe she even believed it.

But the problem with her run-through of revelation was just 1 thing, and this 1 thing that failed was the reason I should have doubted it... just like you are discovering.

Where it failed for me, is she said the 2 witnesses in Revelation were symbolic. But they are clearly not symbolic. Yet, she was forced to adopt this conclusion because everything else matched, but we were missing the 2 witnesses. But that should have been a red flag to me!!

I think it's pretty normal to get hooked once. I think every mature Christian I have talked to has fallen for this at least once. Kenneth Hagin back in his day said, "I thought I knew who the anti-Christ was, until he died." So it happens.

It's just good that you can recognize it when you read the Bible. That means the spirit of God is leading you.

I had to start praying for Obama when I came out of deception. God taught me a lot about Revelation since that deception, and part of what he taught me is about new covenant vs. revelation old covenant ministry. In Christian, bride-of-Christ new covenant, we always pray for enemies, even if they are an anti-Christ.

If there was an anti-Christ teacher on Earth when Jesus walked the Earth, such as the Pharisees, what would he do against them? He ministered and taught many Pharisees, and led those men out of deception. And the ones who were really hard, he would rebuke them, but never hate. That's what God taught me since falling into deception.

If God showed me, "Hey this man is the anti-Christ in Revelation." I would minister to that person and bring them to Christ. Satan would have to find a lesser anti-Christ.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9

It's God's will that the anti-Christ comes to Jesus Christ and repents of evil. If the bride of Christ succeeds in its ministry in this last age, I believe we can have absurdly amazing victory on Earth. 99.99% of people saved.
What is the minimum number of people required for Revelation to happen? The rest can be saved.

God would will it be 0 people there. God can actually change the future once it is spoken by God, he did it for Hezekiah. It never voids God's word if people repent in the face of judgement!

Jonah prophesied destruction, and Nenevah repented!

Hezekiah repented, and God extended his life!

God wills the same for all men who live today. God puts that destruction in the future, because it gives men time to repent, so it is his will that all repent.

It takes a lot of guts to say when you were wrong about something. I've had to do that quite a few times. We have to be super careful about what we say. I still have to learn that

It's true.

And now that you said you were wrong, God will give you wisdom because that's how amazing God is.

Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. - Proverbs 19:20
