  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My friends,

As most of you know, I am moving next week to start a new job in Washington DC. I have decided that now is a good time for me to take some time off from CF. I do not know what awaits me after next week so I do not know when I shall be back.

I would like to thank all of you for helping me grow in my faith and Love of the Lord over these last six months and for giving me something to do as I sat around the house doing nothing.

Lastly, I live you with a few pieces of advice to consider this lent.

  • Advice 1. Ask your self, do I seek that God does my will, or do I seek to do his?
Ponder these three lines of scripture and the effect they have on our salvation:

Luke 1:38

And Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it done to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her

Matthew 6:9-10

9 Thus therefore shall you pray: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Luke 22:42

42 Saying: Father, if thou wilt, remove this chalice from me: but yet not my will, but thine be done.

Think about make a request such as the following: “Take everything I am and have and replace it with you, Jesus, so that everybody who sees me knows you and loves you”

  • Advice 2: Remember no matter how bad things seem, the darkest day of man kind is behind us. On that day even the sun refused to look upon us and our crimes. For on that day we crucified the Son of God. But the Lord has rising and we should not be afraid for he tells us as the master is prosecuted so shall be the servants. Worry not about the end of times , for today maybe your last. Do not grow angry when attacked for through it you shall grow in faith. Trust in Divine Mercy and Will. The Lord is there to help you carry your cross.

  • Advice 3: Find a copy of “Seven Words of Jesus and Mary” by Bishop Sheen and Read it.

  • Advice 4: Rejoice and be glad

  • Advice 5: You knew it was comeing……………………….. ADORATION !

May the Peace of the Lord be with you all.

Your brother in Christ

Aaron

Good-bye, my friend! You have brought many smiles to my lips! I hope your move will go smoothly, and I will continue to pray for you!

Hey Credo
And don't be gone too long......I need someone to remind me that I need Adoration and that Adoration needs me!

There's always me to do a poor job of that in Aaron's absence!

Aaron i so wish that you did not have to go. I have gotten used to our proprietor at Rielly's and the love and care you have shown not only to me but to many others. Your devotion has truly been an inspiration to me. Of one thing I am sure the Lord has blessed you, and He works through you. I was blessed to know you and I hope that you return quickly because you will be sorely missed. Really, who is now going to remind me to go to Adoration all the time? See, I need you.

As the token heretic around here, let me say that I'll miss you, and take with you our Lady's instructions at Cana:

Do what He tells you!

God walk with you and guide your footsteps, Aaron, until we meet again, on this forum, in real life, or before the Throne of God.
