• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Guess the first time is just for practice. ;) That's what some people tell me. I've never smoked, but I know how hard it is - because once lived with a former smoker, and went through the withdrawals, and crankiness, and I tried to support was all I could do. It worked. ^_^

that's Ok! Now you know that it isn't easy and you wont take it for granted the next oportunity god gives you! People who frequwntly return to smoking have never got it in their head that it is hard. You are actually lucky! You honestly tried and now you know that you can never fool around if you are going to quit. You have probably read it a million times it takes multiple trys. It is true in a scence but, i am here to tell you it should only take two! rember that you are an addict and you can never ever take another puff of a cigarette! When you are good and ready go cold turkey because you do not need to put yourself through aany more suffering caussed by gradual withdrawl.. People do not realize how rediculouse the idea is. sure it is sound in "therory" but, that is not how addiction works.. There are a lot of theorys out there.. but the truth is the day you actually commit to seperate yourself permanintly form nicoteen is the day you actually have begun your quit!
