  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

transfering from bassinette (pack and play, not really bassinette) to crib would be. I just tried putting Trevor down for a nap in his crib and he freaked. He screamed for 1 hour. Finally i tried feeding him (figured he'd be hungry again from all that crying) and i wussed out and held him till he was asleep and then put him in his crib. Hopefully he stays asleep for his usual time. We are gonna try it tonight too.

SO what is the wieght limit to sleep in the pack and play? i am thinking of putting him in his crib for naps during the day so he can get used to that and then once thats good try the nighttime thing. He has been asleep in his crib now for about 30 minutes, he usually naps 4 hours, so we'll see.

Maybe you should try rolling up some towels or a big blanket and putting them in the crib around the edge to make the crib feel snugger or smaller.

Add: You could also move the crib into your room for a bit, maybe he misses you too. Then he can get used to being in the crib in your room, later move the crib into his room and he can adjust to you not being in the same room.

We also have one. My son goes in there occasionally during the day and to drink his evening milk before bed while we put his sisters to bed. He doesn't sleep in there (now) unless we bring it when we go on vacation somewhere. I also put him in there if I find that he is getting into mischief. He is 21 months and about 25 pounds.

But when he was a baby he slept in the playpen until about 5 months in the bassinette part. Once he rolled over I took out the basinette part of it. After 5 months he slept in the crib. His sister was still in it when he was born and was too young to move into a bed. At 2 years and 1 month she moved into a toddler bed. My husband made it.

I hear you. But in my case from day one my son never liked the idea of sleeping in either beds. He prefered our bed or the floor (laying on a blanket). If we even transfered him to the crib or bassenet he would wake up. Still to this day he will not sleep in the crib (1 y/o). We don't at all mind him sleeping with us. The only problem is what are we going to do when we have another one? My husband thinks we should get a bigger bed (king size).

With my daughter - she would sleep in the bassinet at night - but in the crib for naps from day 1. We really didn't have a problem when went to transfer her to the crib full-time. Plus, we really didn't have a choice - she was getting too long for the bassinet. Her feet were sticking out of the end.
