I need your opinions!

Hi everyone,

We'll have a youth retreat this weekend and our theme will be: commitment in different aspects. On Saturday I got to do a talk show on boy-girl relationships , how to find the real ONE and what to do till it appears. Please tell me what do you think about it, or raise up queations about the theme. Thanks a lot!

I think the best thing to do is to pray that God will eather separate a person from your life if they are not the one, or bring them closer and give confirmation that they are the one.

You have to be careful however, not to see "signs" that are just coincidences and assume that they are confirmation... even if they are from God, He won't mind you asking for more, less coincidental confirmation.

I personnaly made an oath between me and God. I gave him a sign that would confirm to me His will. In return, I surrendered my right to select my wife, and I will not date a girl until he gives me that sign. I want his will.

I'm actually working on writing a column about this issue. I definitely believe that God has a plan for us and for who we will marry. Yet, I don't think we will meet that person until we have a strong enough love for God and for ourself so that we can properly love another person. I definitely think that until God sends that special person to be in our life, we must work on establishing a strong relationship with God and also become the best person we can possible be so that we can give of ourselves fully to that special person.

I'd share, but that's why it's a sign between me and God. Oh, and my accountability partner. Someone needs to be able to keep me in line.

Your welcome, for some of us, we need to make serious commitments. The oath has really helped me control the lust I have in my life.

God does have a plan and we just have to give our all to him to make that work. And his ways and will always works for the best of us. As well as our honoring him and gloryfying him. And to establish a relationship with God through that person.
