• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I'll pray for you and do believe Porno is a sin, because of looking on the nakedness of others in situatuations that effect your thoughts, lusts, feelings, desire's, wants, and leads to addiction. I don't believe masturbation is a sin, however if your thoughts are impure, thinking about someone other then a spouse, or your addicted to it then yes the addiction or the thoughts are sins, but God knows what masturbation is and no where does He condemn it. He does however condemn sexual impurity, are you masturbating in impurity, or are you just masturbating. I know I have masturbated without thinking about others or anything, I've just woke up, the wife was at work and needed a release, no biggie, and I don't believe I sinned. Having said this I must admit there have been similar times that started the same way but turned to impure thoughts while releasing. None of us are perfect and I believe we need to avoid things that we can't control. For this reason I hadn't masturbated in overe a month until yesterday morning when I woke up needing a release, but without any impure thoughts, I was thinking of the wife. I don't think I sinned, but it sounds like you should avoid it. I know I have no reason any longer to desire to touch, but if I do, it isn't always a sin.
